To all foreign talents working in Tianjin:

1月8日以来,一场突发疫情袭击津城,全市各级干部、各界群众，在市委、市政府和市防控指挥部的统一部署下，迅即在全市范围内开展了新冠变异病毒奥密克戎的筛查工作。为确保您的健康和安全，请积极做好自身防护，并配合做好疫情防控相关工作，天津市科技局（天津市外专局）就有关问题提示如下：

Since January 8, an outbreak of epidemic has hit Tianjin. Under the unified deployment of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and Tianjin Headquarters for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, cadres at all levels and people from all walks of life in Tianjin immediately and rapidly carried out Omicron COVID-19 variant screening within the city. In consideration of your health and safety, please take the initiative to ensure personal protection and cooperate with epidemic prevention and control. Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Bureau (Tianjin Municipal Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) hereby gives the following tips on relevant issues:

一、配合做好疫情防控。请按照市和区疫情防控指挥部的相关要求，配合工作人员做好疫情排查、核酸检测、重点场所管控等疫情防控工作。要服从社区管理，一旦发现新冠肺炎确诊或阳性无症状病例，疾控部门将在第一时间送往定点医院治疗，并进行流行病学调查和必要的场所环境消毒，请予以积极配合。

1. Cooperate with pandemic-controlling efforts. In accordance with the relevant requirements of the municipal and district headquarters for COVID-19 prevention and control, please cooperate with their staff in epidemiological investigation, nucleic acid testing, key places control and other works related to the control of the pandemic. Once any new confirmed case or asymptomatic case is found, they will be sent to the designated hospitals at once by the disease control department, and epidemiological investigation and necessary environmental disinfection will be carried out later. Please comply with the community regulations and take the initiative to cooperate.

二、做好个人日常防护。做好个人防护，仍是防控疫情传播、防止个人感染最简单有效的措施。请坚持佩戴口罩、勤洗手、常通风，保持社交距离，不扎堆、少聚集等良好习惯。要做好健康监测，如有发热、咳嗽等不适症状，请您及时到正规医院就诊、如实报告病情。要重视食品安全，请您尽量到正规超市购买冷链、海鲜等食品。

2. Ensure everyday personal protection. Successful personal protection is still the simplest and effective measure of controlling the pandemic and preventing personal infection. Please hold on to the good habits of wearing masks, washing hands frequently, maintaining good ventilation, keeping social distance and avoiding gathering. Please monitor your own health closely. If you have any symptom of discomfort, such as fever or cough, please promptly visit a regular hospital and provide true and accurate information about your state of health. Please pay attention to food safety and try to buy food, including frozen food and seafood, from a regular supermarket.

三、关注官方权威信息。不信谣、不传谣、不恐慌、不焦虑，不在微信群、朋友圈发布传播不可靠信息。请及时关注“人民网天津视窗”、“北方网”、“津云”等官方媒体微信公众号，获取官方发布的疫情防控动态信息。

3. Pay close attention to the authoritative information. Never believe in and spread any rumor released. Don't panic or worry, and don't publish and spread unreliable information in WeChat groups and circle of friends. Please subscribe to the WeChat public accounts of official media, including “人民网天津视窗” (People's Daily Online – Tianjin), “北方网” (Enorth), “津云” (Tjyun) to obtain the dynamic information officially released in relation to the prevention and control of the pandemic.

四、做到非必要不离津。请尽量减少外出活动，在乘坐公共交通工具或进入公共场所时，请自觉规范佩戴口罩，配合工作人员落实测量体温、查验“健康码”等防控措施。特别提醒大家，近期非必要不离津。

4. Don't leave Tianjin unless absolutely necessary. Please minimize outdoor activities. When taking public transport or entering public places, please consciously wear masks, and cooperate with the staff to implement prevention and control measures such as taking your temperature and checking your health QR code. We especially remind you not to leave Tianjin recently unless absolutely necessary.

三九隆冬，天寒地冻，天津这座1400万人口的超大城市正以自己的方式打响2022年疫情防控第一战。希望在津工作的外籍人才积极响应，主动参与，全力配合，与全体市民守望相助、共克时艰，为打赢这场全民抗疫的战役做出自己的贡献。我们坚信，有以习近平同志为核心的党中央坚强领导，有全市上下众志成城、团结一心的顽强拼搏，有外籍人才山川异域、日月同天的鼎力支持，我们一定能够打赢这场全民抗疫的硬仗！

It’s freezingly cold in the midwinter. Tianjin, a megacity, together with its 14 million citizens, is starting the first war of epidemic prevention and control in 2022 in its own way. We hope that all foreign talents working in Tianjin will take the initiative and try your best to respond, participate and cooperate.
